The Vellios family has owned and operated Tally Ho Restaurant in Potomac since 1968. Pete and Youlla Vellios first opened the restaurant in the back of Potomac Village Pharmacy, hoping to build a friendly neighborhood spot with food people would come back for. More than 50 years later, Tally Ho still serves breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes, and fresh potato home fries, plus overstuffed sandwiches, subs, homemade Greek and Italian specialties, and Potomac’s best pizza. There is a good selection of ice-cold beer and carefully chosen wine, and the bar overlooking the open kitchen is an easy place to stop in solo or meet family and friends. I'm a Tally Ho regular, but I've been trying to get a friend to give it a try. He finally broke down and met me there. He was pretty happy to see they serve breakfast all day. He ordered the French toast and added some eggs and bacon. I got the gyro, which was huge and delicious. My friend was blown away when the food arrived. He was expecting a couple slices of French toast which is why he got the eggs and bacon. Six half slices of French toast and a pile of bacon and farm fresh eggs. All of which was perfectly cooked. Tally Ho is the best restaurant in Potomac!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Potomac Village. I always get the same thing, eggplant parmigiana sub with a side of fries. It’s delicious and the bread really makes the sub. It’s so fresh! The fries are also more on the crispy side which I love. I always get takeout.

I do not live in this area and stumbled upon this quaint restaurant thanks to Google reviews! Chose this place because they did breakfast all day! Tally Ho did not disappoint. Good food, hot and fresh. The staff was very friendly, helpful and the restaurant was very clean. Hope my job sends me back to Potomac again! Tally Ho is a lovely place to eat.

This is not just a pizza place! They have delicious breakfast too. Could not have been more impressed. I went here thinking I was in for a mediocre time, as it is a sleepy restaurant that’s sort of hidden in Potomac. I ordered the steak and eggs and who ever cooked that thing hit it out of the park. Got the temperature to a perfect medium rare, the eggs were cooked precisely to what I requested, and the home fries were delicious. Could not have been happier.

The best restaurant around! They have perfected their recipes! I love their hotdog and fries, as well as many of their breakfast items. I also love their Italian food. Their pancakes are the best! The staff is always nice, and I always look forward to eating their food!
